The Bondage of Torah?

Did Jesus save us from the bondage of Torah?

Whilst this is the heart-felt belief of millions of Christians we must first look at the Greek word ‘nomos’ translated as law.   A little research shows us that ‘nomos’ is a very vague term, it can describe a ‘keep off the grass’ sign in the local park, and it can describe the most august laws of the land.

In the renewed testament context, it can describe the Law of Yah (Torah) or it can describe the traditions of the Pharisees, and this is where Satan lays the trap for the unwary, for one is the narrow gate through which one must pass to enter the Kingdom of Yah, the other is the broad highway that leads to destruction.

Psalm 119 tells us all about the Torah, the Talmud tells us all about the traditions of men.

The Christians are just confused, they cannot tell the difference because they think that something changed.   The letters of Paul are indeed difficult to comprehend if you do not know your scriptures, and the only scriptures which Paul knew were in the old testament!

On day 6 of creation Yah looked back and said “It is perfect” (Tov Me’od) which means that, as Solomon cites ”there is nothing new under the sun”  (whilst Death was ‘new’ after Adam, it was not ‘under the sun’ as such).   So there is no ‘new’ covenant only a renewed covenant.    Torah was not ‘nailed to the cross’, the Greek word ‘dogma’ is more akin to man-made tradition and has never been used to refer to Torah.

Yahushua spent most of His ministry teaching Torah and trying to get people to stop following the self-appointed Pharisees who made up ‘traditional law’ (‘nomos’ as well) as they saw fit.   This is what leads to the confusion which is at the root of Christianity.

It is bondage to follow the traditions of men, but to follow Yah’s Torah is to become Creation compliant.   There is a stark difference, and Satan wants only to stop you doing one of them.   So he sows confusion and division by confusing the two; such that men have a form of religion but deny the power thereof.

Nothing has changed, the Creation was, is, and shall be perfect, it is man who is fickle not Yah
